No, contrary to what the title says- I am not into Lady GaGa.
We were holidaying in Sri Lanka- which should ideally have its own series of posts; and in an endless madness of swimming pools and seeing around the country.
Of course no points for guessing which one was preferred by my two boys and so each day began with a sharp whine accompanied by or followed by loud wails of 'pooooooooooool' and each foray into the country's sights accompanied by general series of questions- when do we get back to the pool?
Anyhow, last year in Singapore, I had in a moment of madness bought myself the 'unthinkable' as far as India is concerned- a BIKNI from topshop! It looked delicious and I thought I will shed all these fat belts sitting on me EVERY FUCKING WHERE and I WILL WEAR THIS HOT PINK thing.
Really, you already know that I never got around to wearing it.
But I did- a whole year after I bought it, the hot pink became hotter and I said WTF it's my body and if after two kids and no exercise regiment later (including hogging cakes), it has some minor layers of fat then so be it. And there in the middle of a jungle, at the Cinnamon Lodge Habarana- I shed my inhibitions and wore my little two piece swimsuit.
I felt like a whole new person, simply because I had dared. My kids loved the new swimsuit. My older one- not my husband, said I looked like a girl (which to a 37 year old is music to the ears), and my younger one said I looked like nice colours.
And so the next time he wanted me in the pool, he said- Please put on your pink eyebrows and jump in! And I did!!!
